When the Sun Goes Down Hub

When the sun goes down, humanity is alone to face abnormal phenomena. They appear only at night, for everyone to see, and exist solely to terrify the humans, at best. At worst, to kill or torture them. Those who go out at night sometimes don't come back. Those who drive at night sometimes have accidents. Even the comfort of the bedroom sometimes isn't safe. However, as soon as the night is over and the sun rises at the horizon, the anomalies disappear, along with everyone's memories of it. All humanity forgets what they where terrified of. Deaths become disappearances or miscellaneous news. Every memory of these terrifying nights only stays as a nightmare fading as time goes on, and everyone resumes their daily lives.

Almost everyone. Sometimes, people remember, after particularly traumatic events. The death of a close friend or a family member, the loss of a limb, of a sense, mutilation. These people don't forget. They seek help. And they find it.

The SCP Foundation is a pool of these individuals the rest of society sees as deranged. Scattered across the globe, everyone fights anomalies at night individually and tries to study it. Locally, thousands of sites (basements, garages, barns…) are used for the containment of terrifying creatures or abnormal phenomena. In this world, there is no doctors nor agents, only normal people from all backgrounds and fields, trying to bring humanity's night terrors to an end.
