This is the first original GoI format of the JP-branch, so the structure is a tad wonky, but I wanted to translate it, so here we are.

Is this in a canon where the SCP Foundation does not exist? Like Unfounded?
I'm a bit confused and it's super short in my opinion.

This piece takes place in a world where the SCP Foundation existed at some point but has been removed from it.

This piece was considered for the Unfounded canon, but because the Foundation did exist, it isn't part of it. It also isn't part of any canon; it's a standalone as far as I know; other shūshū-in GoI-formats have nothing to do with this universe.

So in that regard, it's more akin to SPC-1764, which works under a similar premise and is also a standalone piece.

Also, yes, this piece is rather short as it was written for an 800-or-less character tale contest. This piece was originally a tale, as it was written before JP GoI formats really existed. It became a GoI format much later.

Ah, I see.

I don't know how I should feel about it. I think it's so short that I won't leave a rating.
And unlike SPC-1764, this GOI Format needs a bit more meat to make it work without providing context, if you ask me. Especially the language of the GoI, as they use some of their own terms. But it's also not so bad that it needs to be changed. Your explanation certainly helped me.

It reminds me a bit now of SCP-6871, which is part of Unfounded, but that was written recently.
