Oh, nothing much, just collaborating with a couple of my best friends on something kickass and goofy as hell. The spirit of international collaboration lives!
Thanks to my coauthors Uncle Nicolini and
Rounderhouse for a blast from start to photo finish.
I did not see any part of this coming at any moment this is fresh and fantastic
can I get some nice "no signatures on my forum"
sigma-9 css machine broke
understandable have a nice day
Aside from the issue I noticed with mobile compatibility (rotating into landscape mode and back breaks the page - pretty sure that's an issue with -INT's default BHL theme, although I may be mistaken), this is an excellent article. I sure as hell was not expecting to be hit with a collaborative article by HarryBlank,
Rounderhouse, AND
Uncle Nicolini today, nor was I expecting to read anything that surpassed my expectations THIS much today.
So, I went in to this article having already read SCP-7311 - which, having talked with Rounderhouse previously, I knew would be returning at some point in some way - although I did not expect Site-57 to return in this way, I see this as an effective and worthy successor to SCP-7311 - although a crosslink to it with the reveal might be VERY helpful for new readers, given how much context it gives to this. The characterization on display here works wonderfully for all involved, with it making me actually feel the predicament of the interlopers of Facility-57 in a mainline reality.
Although I can't shake the feeling this might end up with me having to roll yet another boulder up the Sisyphean hill I've signed myself up for with working on a map of Metafoundation timelines (given the mention of the 1981 Multi-Foundation Coalition Agreement), I do genuinely enjoy this article quite a bit, and hope to see more works with these sorts of interactions in future - and thus, this has genuinely earned a +1 from me, all joking about smart refrigerator compatibility aside.
Overall, I'll give it a +1 for Samsung Bespoke™ 32.4ft³ Refrigerator with Family Hub™ compatibility - Good work!
Site-57 character tag! Come on people, let's make it happen!
god save us all site-57 is getting more content
For real though, this was a great piece to read: funny as all hell, intriguing core mystery, and some insanely strong dialogue. Marw was absolutely my favourite part, kept me entertained throughout the piece, especially his little speech after meeting S57 for the first time. I’d love to see more of him!
In terms of the actual contest, I really like how these connected the two branches; it flowed together well. Having -ES be from another dimension seems like it helped with the issue of how to represent branches in-universe without them feeling identical (since the Foundation is usually presented as a monolith).
+1, best of luck in the contest!
This was rather surreal, but I really enjoyed it. It felt like it was a bit of a struggle to bring all the elements together into one story, but I suppose that's the issue with anything set in the Foundation universe.
+1 for making me care about a silly cat in a detective hat.
I can't believe Marw fucked a building.
For real though, this was excellent. Pretty much every part of this article was great, from the discovery, to the introduction of the crab fella, to the whole Facility-57 insertion and god all the characters are great, to the noir bits from Marw, to the overall ending and hey, even Site-57 is here! That's horrible, but great too!
Definitely one of my favorite skips around; really make me wanna read more on F-57 and -ES in general.
+1~
