Groups of Interest of the Lusophone Branch

Overview

Most GoI of the Lusophone Branch have a knack for collecting anomalous items, mostly used for their own gain. At the moment, there are seven Groups of Interest listed in the Lusophone Branch.

Anonymous Eyes Inc.

- Enterprise specializing in espionage regarding anomalous matters. - Only goal is the gathering and trading of information. - Does not use any sort of anomalous phenomena to accomplish goals. - Indifferent towards the Foundation, but classified as hostile because of its work. - Sacrifices human life for the sake of profit.

Division XXV
Anonymous Eyes Inc. never found out about Division XXV until the Foundation took a hold of its remaining documentation.
The Hive
The Hive is a target for which it demands large payments, because it is a notoriously hard target.

The Brazilian Superintendence of the Paranormal

The Brazilian Superintendence of the Paranormal
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Brazil Brazil slashannemoo (contact)
- Secret military intelligence governmental institution in Brazil, founded in 1965. - Founded during the Brazilian Military Government to compete with the Foundation. - Had a similar command structure. - Annexed to the Lusophone Foundation in 1989. - Studied the anomalous on the territory of Brazil. - Sabotaged and interrupted operations of the Foundation until its acquisition in 1992. - Had no qualms about abducting, torturing and killing innocents.

The Brazilian Superintendence never became aware of Division XXV.
The Hive
The Superintendence viewed the Hive as a curiosity and never became aware of its infiltration.

The Hunting Club of Fauna and Flora

The Hunting Club of Fauna and Flora
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Portugal Portugal and other lusophone countries slashannemoo (contact)
- Association founded in 1920, comprised by affluent and influent individuals that hunt anomalies for sport. - Have access to paratech weaponry, but not a big military power. - Association similar to a Guild, with a Huntmaster elected by Associates. - Studied the anomalous on the territory of Brazil. - Neutral towards the Foundation. - Their hunting sport does extend to anomalous humans, but they leave civilians alone.

The Hunting Club of Fauna and Flora towards other GoI

Division XXV
The Hunters Club dealt unwittingly with Division XXV and bought several biological anomalies from to use them for hunting. Remains of the Division are, because of the lack of knowledge, either ignored or repurposed for hunting.
The Hive
Hive members are seen as extremely challenging prey because of their telepathic network. Members of the Hunting Club earn much fame when they get at least three of them in one hunt.

The Order of the Tower and Valor

The Order of the Tower and Valor
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Portugal The entire World, but mostly Europe slashannemoo (contact)
- Agnostic military organization, created in 1570. - Collects relics associated with religious cultures of non-anomalous, and anomalous theologies. - Inner structure works according Code of Three Virtues: Respect, Tenacity, and Compassion. - Can use lesser thaumaturgical abilities through a substance known as "Varlour". - Governed by a Grand-Master, and a Chancellor elected by a Council of Comendadores. - Neutral towards the Foundation. - Also hurts civilians in their pursuit of adding to their collection.

The Order of the Tower and Valor towards other GoI

Church of the Broken God
The Order is hostile towards the Church due to its ultimate goal of changing the definition of human life completely.
Division XXV
The Order did not know about Division XXV, but was well informed about the atrocities committed by the Stasi, after it arrested several of its members. Afterwards, it tried to fight against the Ministry of State Security and by extension Division XXV. Today, found remains of the Division are either discarded or repurposed for the sake of the Order.
The Hive
The Order views the Hive with disgust since it breaks the Code of Three Virtues with its actions towards the order as well as other groups. Standing orders are the apprehension or termination of spotted Hive members.
Sarkic Cults
The Order is hostile towards the Cults due to their ultimate goal of changing the definition of human life completely.

The Reliquary

The Reliquary
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Portugal The entire World, but mostly in underdeveloped countries slashannemoo (contact)
- Paramilitary organisation, founded in 1942. - Collects anomalous objects to gain more influence around the globe through the value and capabilities of said objects. - May be involved with organized crime. - Inner organisation is unknown. - Hostile towards the Foundation. - Not above putting innocents in harms way or even killing them.

The Reliquary towards other GoI

Division XXV
The Reliquary faced difficulties while operating on GDR territory because it had to fend of attacks and sabotage from the Stasi and especially Division XXV. Since 2010, the Reliquary has a few information about Division XXV and likes its remains because of their uses.
The Hive
The Reliquary searches for possibilities to enter the Hive network from outside to take control over the entire collective and to this end takes any measures necessary.

The Scientific Academy of the Anomalous

The Scientific Academy of the Anomalous
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Portugal Portugal and its satellite states in Africa slashannemoo (contact)
- Scientific-research institution for the anomalous in Portugal, founded in 1875. - Formerly known as the Royal Portuguese Institution for the Paranormal. - Restructured during the Estado Novo government of Salazar. - Educational center to teach new researchers the knowledge of the anomalous. - Incorporated into the Lusophone Foundation in 1992. - Was governed by an Administrative Director, Rectors and Department Heads. - Neutral towards the Foundation. - Never directly hurt civilians, but their technology was used to.

The Scientific Academy of the Anomalous towards other GoI

Division XXV
The Academy never became aware of Division XXV.
The Hive
The Hive was sort of a disease for the Academy. It lost scientific progress and man-power in the process. Methods were devised to detect infiltrators but by far not all were ever exposed.
Das Wunderkabinet
Ms Mirabilis is an Honorary Member of the Academia's Department of Thaumaturgy. For some reason, Mirabilis seems to be very money-hungry when working with the Academy.

The Technothaumaturges

The Technothaumaturges
Origin: Active in: Creator:	Portugal Portugal and Brazil slashannemoo & Taoca
- Society of individuals that utilizing thaumaturgy in conjunction with technological implements - Founded during the First Industrial Revolution. - Use their knowledge to create paratechnology. - Their inventions are for member-use only. - Existed since the First Industrial Revolution. - Governed by a superintendent Council. - Amicable towards the Foundation. - Have no desire to hurt normal people or to use them for experiments.

The Technothaumaturges towards other GoI

Division XXV
The Technothaumaturges have no clue regarding the Divisions existence and therefore take in and inspect its remains without discrimination.
The Hive
The Hive is a recurring problem that costs the Technothaumaturges time, members and resources. Devices are being created to detect Hive infiltrators but said infiltrators keep on finding ways to evade them.
