Since we finally have a French section in the forum and there isn’t many of us yet, I thought we could make a topic that merges the "Good stories", "Concert tales" and "Some Midnight Art" topics. So all that is gathered here ! As a reminder, the concert pictures go in the pinned topic, and we don't have (yet?) a French equivalent of the tattoos and piercings thread, so you’ll have to continue sharing them with our English speaking friends ^^ ;
★★★ FalseGods Member	12/21/13 Let’s get this ball rolling. Technically, it's a friend's story, but since she's not on this forum, I'll tell it for her. So, the three of us were at Warped Tour 2013 when it came to Switzerland in November and we were near the Monster West stage right after Enter Shikari's set, and to be honest my ears were ringing pretty bad and my head was killing me. Midnight Blossom was supposed to play later but in the meantime Like Moths to Flames were playing and the other friend didn’t want to miss that, and my only idea was to get my headache under control just in time to enjoy MB. So the friend whose story this is is there, dragging me like a bag of bones, and we're desperately looking for a bottle of water so I can swallow my doliprane. And who do we run into? Aisling! Aisling Fox, who was making herself a thermos bottle of tea. Just like that, in the middle of it all, as if she was a nobody! So I'm standing there like a moron saying "bonjour madame o///o" forgetting that she doesn't even speak French, but my friend doesn't hesitate for a second, and she takes a felt-tip pen out of her bag and hands it to Aisling, and she says something like "PLEASE MADAME FOX I LOVE YOUR SONGS SO MUCH CAN YOU PLEASE DRAW A FLOWER ON MY ARM??" and she rolls up her sleeve and all. So Aisling laughs and she scribbles the MB lotus on her arm, and she signs it for her. Not only did my friend not wash her arm for several weeks, but lately she had the drawing redone at a fucking tattoo shop before finally washing it. So there you go. She has a permanent autograph on her arm now.

I was studying for my exams while listening to MB, and my father walks by my room, pauses, and says "uh, what are you listening to?" and since it was the middle of the bridge of Hide your third eye I turn up the sound. He listens in silence until the end, since there was only like a minute left, and then he looks me in the eyes and goes: "uh, well it's certainly a song." So there you go, my story is that Hide your third eye is certainly a song.

★★★ Sempiternal Scream Member	12/24/13 I think a lot of French fans fell in love with the band during the 2012 concert in Paris and I'm no exception. I already liked MB before that, but nothing more, and seeing them live was a complete revelation for me. After Last Scene at the end of the tracklist, I went back out into the open air, and I swear it's true, I couldn't recognize anything outside anymore. I generally have a good sense of direction, but all the streets seemed to have changed places and no building was at a right angle with the ground anymore, at least from my point of view. Trying to find my way back, I walked through a big park, and I arrived at the edge of the Seine right where the Geode usually is, and I was under the impression that the water was no longer flowing and was like a mirror. And in that mirror, the sky was reflected, and I saw a whole universe. I bent down to touch it with my fingertips, but a stranger pulled me back and asked me what the hell I was doing and if I had gone completely crazy. And just like that, everything was back to normal around me! I was really scared in retrospect. Since then, I sometimes think about it while listening to Cut My Feet Off I Want To Fly. Disturbing, but interesting.

★★ _-h0rr0rc0re-_ Member	12/24/13 I had a very similar experience after the exact same concert, except that when I came to my senses, I was sitting on the edge of a rooftop looking at stars under my feet. I consulted a doctor who told me that was called a "psychotic fugue" and that it's more common than you'd think at our age (well, at least I guess most people on this forum are somewhere between 15 and 25 lol!). I'm sure that many paranormal stories can be explained by something like that. As you said, it’s disturbing, but interesting.

★★★★ Mel’Ancolie Member	12/25/13 This is more of a funfact than an story but my ears are pierced now and the band's music sounds different since I got them done. It's super weird but there's a reverb effect that gives a crazy depth to the songs, and it only works with this specific band!

See the Torn Shirts video from the Straight On Till Morning era, back when they were posting all their stuff on MySpace? Well, they had so little budget that this weird place where the music video was shot is an empty pool in the suburbs of Belfast which they had accessed illegally during the night, and on their way out, they almost got caught by the cops ε=ε=ε=ε=ε=ヾ(;ﾟﾛﾟ)ﾉ

★★★★ xXFIRE_SIX_LIVESXx Member	12/27/13 speaking of the Straight On Till Morning era, I had the chance to see Midnight B. at one of their Glasgow shows a couple of years ago, and it was still in a pretty small venue at the time, great atmosphere even if it was a bit too hot. and at one point Cecil takes a break in the middle of the set and says "ok we're gonna play something a bit different now" and there's a guy somewhere on the left of the stage yelling "WOOOHOOO QUEEN OF LUNGS"! and there's a big silence and the whole band looks in his direction like "ok, wtf" and after a long, very embarrassing moment Cecil went "……………………it's not Queen of Lungs" and a good chunk of the audience laughed really hard

I was listening to Hide Your Third Eye to fall asleep and after a while as I still wasn’t tired enough I remember I got up, but then everything became pretty vague…? Anyway, I wrote some stuff, like, on automatic mode, and when I woke up I had ink on my arms and there was a creepy poem on my desk about a cohort of people singing stuff.

★★★★ Passiflora Major Member	01/02/14 I don't know if it's a story or a fun fact, but I have the same ear piercings as @Mel'Ancolie and lately I've noticed that when I listen to some specific songs (especially with Five Arms Five Swords and Star Signals in your Bones), the dust that falls out of them is slightly different, and accompanied by a slight noise, almost like a whisper. It's beautiful and I wonder if that's why the songs sound better when your ears are pierced in that specific way. It almost makes me want to get together with a bunch of people and check if we all hear the same things?
