Write an SCP entry no longer than 2500 words! The best three will be published on the website!

You're free to stick to the renowned format of traditional SCP entries or mess with the writing to get something new, something different — but still classifiable as an SCP entry! You're free to treat themes chosen by you through plot ideas of your own, or if you're overwhelmed by doubts, ask the S.T.A.F.F. to assign you a number of tags ranging from two to five.

Once your work is done, post a page in your sandbox and announce your draft in the forum of new works — the contest-organizing group will proceed to insert a link to your entry in the contest page!

The three entries best-regarded by a jury of ten users at the end of the contest may be published on the website! The others will go through the usual progress on the forum, but they'll get an unique tag! Anyway, in order to post correctly, the three winners will have to get five four(!) approvals (positive reviews with an express approval statement) and a Green Light from a S.T.A.F.F. member or an Approval Team member.

Start a new discussion in the "New Works" area in the foum, insert "LURKONTEST" in the title and a link to your SCP entry in the body of text (the larger text box), alongside a brief presentation if you wish. Submit it and you'll be officially participating! The posts lacking the magic word won't be considered a priority by the reviewers!

Who can participate?
Anyone who's published no SCP entries or tales yet! Those who have yet to publish something, those who have only translated foreign entries or written just Anomalous Elements, Events and Locations so far.

Can I participate in a group?
Yes! All team members must meet the requirement above to participate.

Can I participate with multiple entries?
Yes! Two at most. The entry/ies you write with a team will count, of course.

There are only three rules, so do your best to comply with them! If you don't, you get disqualified for good measure.
⦁ Comply with the rules already known in the website. Of course, it follows that you mustn't rip off pre-existing works (both in the Foundation's community and elsewhere) by any means.
⦁ Don't mistake competitiveness for misconduct. You can't be disrispectful just because there's a rivalry going on.
⦁ Be patient, should a review sound harsh or too blunt. The critics' goal is to help the author of the draft they review. Nonetheless, should you believe a comment to your work is an abuse, don't hesitate to report it to the S.T.A.F.F. members.

A nice photo or a nice painting can make all the difference in the looks and impact of a work, can't it? That's why you can pay a visit to our Discord server and describe the pictures you'd like (three at most), in case you need a picture. The contest personnel will be ready to provide you with them!
