Subject: Investigation Results
O5-1:
With regards to the investigation of the internals of SCP-2000 conducted in view of your concerns on Sector 3382, we have found interesting results that I am reporting to you.
This time, we investigated the deepest part of SCP-2000 — in other words, the oldest equipment out of the entire SCP-2000. There, we found many records that date to when SCP-2000 was "first" created. Several pieces of the information we found have been attached to this email; please view them at your leisure. The shocking part is that according to these documents, the Foundation banded together with multiple Groups of Interest, and even made itself known to the public, to search for help to construct SCP-2000.
And this is the part I want to believe the most: the entire construction was completed in only 64 days.
I am very well aware that SCP-2000 is the result of extremely detailed and complex technology, which is why I want to believe this… in just over two months, we constructed an all-powerful trump card that could save the world many times over. O5-1, as my clearance level might not be sufficient, I hope you are able to tell me what you know.
Who on earth were "they", who first made this machine?
…
…
…
— In reality, "they" were nothing more than humans. But two months was not enough time to give up.

"We will not be allowed to fail. We have run out of coins to continue. The all-important Arca has been worn down and is about to break."
SCP Flavor Text - SCP-2000
But these words were more like this to those who started it all.
"We have enough coins. But without the Arca, there is no point."
Welcome, people of the future. "Project Arca" is a canon about how SCP-2000 was made, and what struggles the people of a world before the current canon had.
As a prerequisite, in this canon SCP-2000 was made at some point in the past by humans, in order to deal with an "SD-Class 'Shutdown' Scenario", of which the details are unclear, within 64 days.
Based on this, works in the Project Arca canon are split into the following categories.
Booting Up: Describes the prior conditions for the construction of SCP-2000. For instance, things that happened before the SCP-2000 project, and the prophecies that led to the creation of SCP-2000.
Starting the Game: Describes the process of constructing SCP-2000.
Game Over: Describes the "end of the world" caused by the SD-Class "Shutdown" Scenario.
Continue?: Describes the part between the SD-Class "Shutdown" Scenario and the execution of the reboot.
Genesis (New Game): Describes the restoration of civilization through Procedure Lazarus-01.
New Players: Describes the discovery of Project Arca by the people of the new world.
In addition, articles to the left of the timeline are previously existing articles and setting notes that have been included in the canon but were not created for it; the articles to the right are articles that are entries in the Project Arca canon proper.
This is all you need to enjoy the contents of this canon. Read whatever you wish from the next "Works" tab.

Other
People
The O5s
The Overseers of the Foundation. There is much theorizing and speculation about them, but in this canon the O5s are to some degree human.
The Original O5-9
Quits his job by T minus 62 days; O5-9 after this timestamp is filled by a different person. Believing the Foundation should not do what is impossible, he quits because of Project Arca. He is known for being a contrarian.
O5-13
While his existence is questioned and he is sometimes assumed to be an AI, O5-13 in this canon is real, and at least humanoid. Proposed the execution of the frozen Project Arca.
Dr. Jack Bright
A Foundation doctor. An authority on bioengineering and anomalous genetics, participating in Project Arca. As he has already been affected by SCP-963, he is able to live to see the resetting world.
Itegiri Yō
A mad scientist obsessed with hominids, working for JOICL. Hired by the Foundation to create the Bright/Zartion Hominid Replicators needed for SCP-2000. He is not just quiet, and he appears to be trying to hide something in the device.
Groups
The SCP Foundation
The organization with the least differences between then and now. Some personnel still exist, some don't. At the least, they have the technology to begin creating SCP-2000.
Global Occult Coalition
Discovered the end of the world by themselves, and are helping with Project Arca. In order to protect the human race's future, they continue to fight by any means necessary.
Japan Organisms Improvement & Creation Laboratory
Although JOICL did not have particularly good relations with the Foundation, they did send researchers at the Foundation's request in exchange for the return of their assets (or because they knew the world was ending).
Prometheus Labs
By the time of Project Arca, Prometheus Labs has survived its recession and is now the dominant player in the paratech industry.
Are We Cool Yet?
People who give up art before the end, people who stick with their art to the end, people who help the Foundation to stop the end of the world. Mostly divided into these three.
"The Doctor"
Although there is a Dr. Wondertainment in this canon, there was no "Doctor" during Project Arca in this canon. Perhaps he just sprang up out of nowhere like a mosquito larva.
Tou-Hei Heavy Industries
Bankrupt because of Prometheus' influence by the time Project Arca happened.
This tab contains a collection of terminology used in this canon.
For more terminology not found in this list, check out this page.
Canon-Specific Terms
- SD-Class: "Shutdown" Scenario
The K-Class Scenario that will occur in 64 days. - The COUNTOVER
The day the SD-Class Scenario occurs. - Project Reboot
The project to avoid the SD-Class Scenario. Project Arca is part of this. - Project Arca
A project to create a machine (the Arca) that will reconstruct the world. By O5 decision, the central part of Project Reboot. - The Arca
A machine that will overcome an SD-Class Scenario by reconstructing the world. In other words, SCP-2000.
Existing Terminology
- Undershuttle
A high-speed rail network covering the entire world. Able to operate at ~3000km/h.(Source: indonootoko's author page) - Ganymede Protocol
A protocol to be enacted in the event of a K-Class Scenario.(Source: SCP-2000) - stew
Vegetables, meat, or seafood cooked in broth. Not related Project Arca in-universe, but related to the canon itself. (Source: Making Stew Hub) - Scranton Reality Anchor
A machine that maintains and strengthens the normality of reality. Developed by Dr. Robert Scranton in 1889. (Source: SCP-2000) - Procedure Lazarus-01
The procedure to reconstruct human society using SCP-2000.(Source: SCP-2000) - Bright/Zartion Hominid Replicators
A machine that can rapidly produce humans (at a rate of one every five days). Using a database that contains every allele in the human genome, it can produce any gene.(Source: SCP-2000) - SCP-2000
The Foundation-made object created as a result of Project Arca. Same as "the Arca".(Source: SCP-2000)

Do you also want to build an Arca? Then read this part. It's fine, you don't have to think hard. The things you should fulfill to join this canon are few in number.
In this canon, the human race will be destroyed in 64 days. In response, the Foundation, with help, creates SCP-2000 and restarts humanity. Following this, many more restarts take place, leading up to the present moment. The history that is set in stone consists of just these.
If you follow the premise that SCP-2000 was made in 64 days, your article is part of Project Arca. You may add the project-arca tag to your work. You do not need to be bound by the eras or existing articles. This is just — though it's not related to the canon at all — about whether it's interesting. As such, one way is to refer to the basic settings that are already written. The information on existing articles, terminology, characters and groups in the other tabs should be of no small help to you in your writing.
But you don't have to use all of it.
Before we end… "Humans are weak, humanity is strong". This seemingly contradictory phrase is the theme of the Project Arca canon. Though we think the creation of SCP-2000 is the work of gods, the people who were involved were merely humans. Impatience, distress… Regardless of what era it occurs in, the people of this canon are certainly tortured by such emotions.
Regardless of how many times we start over。
But they got it done in the end.Even if it's not perfect.
