This Foundation doesn’t allow color copies - Quoted from poorFoundation
In this canon, the Foundation’s public finances are in shambles. Objects are escaping through the financial holes, and many of the Foundation employees who saw this also ran away for the sake of their futures.
How bad the economic collapse is is left to the author. In some cases the public finances are so bad they could collapse the next day, while others are only slightly impoverished, and are still run competently. Or you might want to describe the staff after it has already fallen.
Why do they remain with the Foundation despite struggling so much?

“Could it be… You’re treating?”
Relative of the Foundation’s senior lawyer Sheldon Katz. Being a kind person, he refused to leave the Foundation as it economically collapsed, leaving him to his current position. He holds multiple positions and is always busy.
He has awful luck, and misfortune constantly befall upon him. He’s also a key player in moving the story forward. Many relatives are also present, and they largely lead the same life.
You can get the rough circumstances of the Foundation on this canon by reading this article. Taking this into account, here are a few details about the world.
- How did the Foundation collapse?
Why is the Foundation poor? There is no definite answer for this. The cause is left as headcanon to the discretion of each author. However, each article has surrounding information such as the “Pathetic Payday Event” occurrence, and the formation of the Foundation Trade Union. With this information, each person can make the Foundation they desire.
He’s the only character within the canon that can be placed in any world. He can be placed in any state within the bounds of the author’s ethics, and his relatives can be considered as unlimited within the canon.
Needless to say, the Foundation of this world is going through a crisis in its administration and continuance due to their economical issues. Due to this, the Foundation staff of this canon, those who are moral, loyal, and kind are constantly losing money, and those who make sense of things are leaving the Foundation like spiders. How will the staff, who are stuck in the muddy, sinking ship of the Foundation, maintain the appearance of containment? And how do those who escaped live and see the current situation?
With the decline of the Foundation’s status, each GoI will have become reinstated in some way or another. The Global Occult Coalition, for example, can be considered the most influential organization in this canon, dealing with anomalies on behalf of the Foundation. Organizations that make a living by manufacturing and selling anomalies have further developed their business. From this, it can be said that this canon is an “Unveiled world”.
The Foundation is not capable of perfectly containing and managing the objects it has. It’s easy for willing objects to escape containment, and those who chose to stay containment instead of escaping may have a different motive for staying under their control. On the other hand, the Foundation may go against their ethical duties to continue their operations, and may use their anomalies to earn money. In any case, one of the features of this canon is that objects have more freedom of action that would be unthinkable if under containment.
As mentioned before, this canon has an unveiled world, and the general public is aware of the existence of anomalies. The general public of this world share the view that the Foundation is an “organization that relies on raising funds to operate”. It’s no surprise that the emotions they hold when they look at the Foundation are those of pity, disdain, vocation, and obligation.
As I have written and will now repeat, this canon has 2 basic premises: “color copies are not allowed” and “the Foundation is poor”. Whatever happens in this canon is up to the author’s ethics and ideas. Follow this, and you’ll be fine.
- Foundation Environmental Improvement Committee
Work daily to slowly improve the Foundation’s financial situation, and working conditions, which are in an awful shape. However, they sometimes make ineffective decisions based on old knowledge, and take on more burdens than necessary.
Anomaly market operated by MC&D that handles anomalies. In this unveiled world, the Foundation and the general public use this app to trade low-threat objects.
- AnomalyGuard/Protection Anomaly Cafe
AnomalyGuard is a facility established by the Foundation with the goal of entrusting objects to the private sector, in cooperation with Wilson’s Wildlife Solutions, as they could no longer aptly contain anomalies. The Protection Anomaly Cafe is a private facility, part of AnomalyGuard, with the goal of finding owners for entrusted anomalies.
- Residence Containment System
Containment system for intelligent objects that could not longer be contained by the Foundation. A certain level of intelligence and a healthy containment attitude is required to change into residence containment. This allows the Foundation to reduce containment costs. Some objects are return to their parent’s homes.
One more time.

This is the most important thing you gotta abide by. Past this, you’re free to do anything. You can write something funny, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be serious either.
For example, using the theme of delivering materials, you can depict a director stressing over lack of materials, or the grief of Sheldon Katzkatz who must craft materials by hand.
For example, using the theme of a crack in the wall, you can depict staff rushing in to fix a broken wall, or the grief of Sheldon Katzkatz who freezes as cold air enters into his office before it’s repaired.
For example, using the theme of hunger and starvation, you can depict the gourmet commentary on field grass by Agent Kanahebi, or the grief of Sheldon Katzkatz’s tale of living on field grass for a month.
As mentioned above, this canon isn’t all about jokes. Rather, it’s a canon that is also well suited for writing serious stories.
The poorFoundation canon has a Discord server where participants can meet (And it’s free to use. If you’re Katzkatz, you can use it without worry.)
