SCP-050-DE bei der Rückkehr von seinem ersten Auftrag.
Item #: SCP-050-DE
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-050-DE is programmed to land only at Site-DE13. However, should it land at any other location for any reason, all non-Foundation personnel who learn of SCP-050-DE's existence in any way are to be treated with appropriate amnestics as soon as possible. No one is to approach SCP-050-DE except personnel with security clearance level 3/050-DE or higher.
Once SCP-050-DE is in Site-DE13, it is to be inspected for any damage and maintained by level 3/050-DE maintenance personnel. Thereafter, SCP-050-DE is to be loaded with conventional ammunition for its aircraft type and kept operational.
Should SCP-050-DE be sighted during its last or current mission, it must not be deterred in any way from attacking its target under any circumstances. Sightings of SCP-050-DE by anyone other than Foundation assets are to be be covered up by the dispersal of misinformation and/or the use of appropriate amnestics.
Warning: You are about to retrieve files classified as 3/050-DE. The retrieval of this file will be registered, filed and reported along with your current location. Retrieval of this file without sufficient security clearance is grounds for your immediate arrest. Retrieval of this file by a computer not connected to the Foundation intranet is grounds for your immediate termination, regardless of your security clearance.

Special Containment Procedures (Continued): All mentions of SCP-050-DE and its actions in historical documents are to be be removed in all cases and replaced with appropriate misinformation.
Only researchers with security clearance level 4/050-DE have access to SCP-050-DE-1 and all related data. All experiments performed with SCP-050-DE-1 must have its replication as an objective.
SCP-050-DE is only to be loaded with the last remaining instance of SCP-050-DE-1 upon confirmation by the O5 Council. This rule is in effect until it is possible to reproduce SCP-050-DE-1.
Description: SCP-050-DE is a modified Northrop B-2 Spirit long-range bomber piloted by an AI. Its external appearance does not differ from other aircraft of its type, except for its empty weight of 75234 kg1. The Foundation currently uses SCP-050-DE to prevent K-class events due to its ability of targeted teleportation and time travel.
SCP-050-DE was originally an ordinary long-range bomber of its type, used by the Foundation for covert bombing and tactical nuclear strikes. On ██.██.████ at ██:██ it was sent out to neutralize SCP-███-DE, which was about to initiate an LK-Class Time Stop. SCP-050-DE stopped SCP-███-DE in time by dropping a B61 nuclear bomb before the event was triggered. However, the neutralization of SCP-███-DE resulted in an extreme temporal distortion that captured SCP-050-DE and gave it its primary anomalous characteristic.2 The Agents ██████ and ████████ still managed to land SCP-050-DE after the successful mission and get out of it before succumbing to the effects SCP-███-DE had exerted on their biochemistry.
As a result of the incident, SCP-050-DE was surrounded by an extremely localized field that completely decoupled it from space-time. This field caused the object to spontaneously perform "time jumps" at random intervals, causing it to disappear for periods ranging from three 3 hours to two weeks. In addition, SCP-050-DE could no longer be moved by any forces acting on it from the outside. However, it was still interacting with the Earth's gravity and thus maintained its location relative to the center of the Earth. Because of this particular form of immobility, SCP-050-DE had to be steered into an empty hangar by using its own thrusters. Subsequently, SCP-050-DE was classified as SCP and assigned its object number.
On ██.██.████, SCP-050-DE was used as a test object for the Eisler space-time stabilizer. This device was a direct derivative of the Xyank/Anastasakos Constant Temporal Sink and was designed to hold objects and entities capable of teleportation or time travel in local spacetime. The test was successful, but SCP-050-DE is so far the only object for which the Eisler spacetime stabilizer has ever worked. However, during the tests it was found that the device makes it possible to send SCP-050-DE to any point in space-time. A proposal was made to the O5 Council to use SCP-050-DE to neutralize threats to the Foundation and humanity before they became a threat in the past.
The O5 Council consulted Dr. Xyank and then, after a vote, decided that simply neutralizing minor threats in the past posed too great a risk to the time continuum. However, it gave a mandate to explore whether it would be possible to prevent K-class scenarios with the help of SCP-050-DE. The reasoning was that in the event of an otherwise unavoidable K-class event, the risk of time continuum damage could be accepted.
The research mission led to the development of the Roth Detector, a measuring device that can detect various irregularities in space-time and assign them to their corresponding causes.
The following can be traced back to its cause with the help of the Roth detector:
- Extremly strong and vast CK-Class Restructuring Events.
- LK-Class Time Stops
- Space-, time-, and reality-based XK-Class End-of-the-World-Events
- YK-Class Vacuum Decay
- ZK-Class Reality Failure
In tests, SCP-050-DE was found to be incapable of safely transporting living creatures through time. Dr. Eisler, who had already suspected this, had placed two white norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) in a cage in SCP-050-DE in the first experiment and sent it 2 minutes into the future. While the cage showed no change upon reappearance, the rats were [DATA EXPUNGED]. For this reason, along with the Eisler spacetime stabilizer and the Roth Detector, an AI was built into SCP-050-DE to control its movements, teleportation, and time travel. As a necessity, the AI was also taught to read the output of the Roth detector and perform appropriate actions on it. The AI also detects threats to the existence of the object and is able to respond appropriately.
From experience, it is known that the source of many K-Class events cannot always be reached by an aircraft alone. To avoid accidental damage to SCP-050-DE, experiments were conducted to determine whether its anomalous properties could teleport suitable explosive devices out of it to the source of the K-class event. All tests with conventional materials yielded the same result: SCP-050-DE is capable of transporting matter as far as desired, but at the intended destination it immediately converts into equivalent amounts of light, heat and kinetic energy which are released abruptly. Experiments were then conducted with anomalous materials, of which SCP-050-DE-1 was found to be the most suitable.

The last SCP-050-DE-1 "ingot".
SCP-050-DE-1 is a metal of unknown composition produced on ██.██.████ by SCP-036-DE. This event was completely erased from SCP-036-DE's file for reasons of secrecy.
Immediately after the ingot molds cooled, SCP-050-DE-1 took on the appearance of a spherical "vortex". The metal, although solid, appears to be in a constant state of flux. Its state of aggregation has not yet been conclusively determined. It has also not yet been possible to disrupt or otherwise mechanically damage an SCP-050-DE-1 unit. Therefore, it is assumed that SCP-050-DE has more than the usual three dimensions and that its "ingot form" is the image of a higher-dimensional object in three-dimensional space. Otherwise, SCP-050-DE has similar properties to other metals (see Material Report 050-DE-1).
Like all other materials, SCP-050-DE is completely converted to energy when teleported through SCP-050-DE. However, as an additional effect, any matter within a six meter radius of the point of appearance is also erased from objective reality. Furthermore, the ground state of the universe is restored in this area of effect, regardless of what phenomena were occurring within it at the time of teleportation. The explosive power of an SCP-050-DE-1 teleport is proportional to the length of the bridged distance and in tests was between 2.1 kilotons and 3 megatons of TNT equivalent.
Of the 16 instances produced, three were used for testing. SCP-050-DE was fitted with ten SCP-050-DE-1 units on ██.██.████ and sent on its first mission. It took-off at ██:██ and disappeared 5 minutes later.
Appendix 050-DE-1: SCP-050-DE reappeared over site-13DE two minutes after the start of its mission and requested landing permission. After landing, the object was thoroughly inspected and found to be fully operational. SCP-050-DE no longer had an instance of SCP-050-DE-1 on board.

The O5 Council was briefed on the results of the mission and two days later unanimously ordered SCP-050-DE to be equipped with two more instances of SCP-050-DE-1. On ██.██.████ at ██:██, the object was then sent on its current deployment. It has not yet reappeared since.
If you're reading this, you're either a new member of the O5 council going through the SCP documentation, or you're a damn good hacker who probably has about 15 minutes to live. Regardless of which is true, reading this document certainly raised some questions. Why is the Foundation, which usually handles anomalies like raw eggs, just upgrading an SCP like this, putting another SCP inside it, and sending it out on missions? And if you know a little bit about history, I'm sure you'll also wonder why the O5 Council sends SCP-050-DE on the next mission right after being presented with its flight recorder data.
Now, the answer to all these questions sounds a bit confusing at first. It's: Because we did it.
Well, I think here I have to elaborate a bit more. Did you know that the first task of SCP-050-DE on its current mission is not an attack, but a messenger flight? We don't know where and when the aircraft is at the moment, but I can tell you that it has done that part of its mission flawlessly. You see, SCP-050-DE was sent to the early sixties, to Site-DE1. There, it was to fly its circles over the facility and send the wording of its entry using the Foundation encryption of the time. I was a lowly agent at the time and could only look up at the sky in amazement, while the bomber circled overhead and finally disappeared in a flash of light. You can imagine our confusion when we received an entry about an SCP that did not yet exist. But everything began to make sense little by little. Our people had been at Tunguska when SCP-050-DE appeared there and tried in vain to defeat a powerful reality-bending entity. Had it not been for SCP-050-DE, that thing would have put Earth through a cosmic meat grinder, and that's not a euphemism. Of course, now you think this could just be a coincidence, but we got confirmation off Sumatra in 2004 when SCP-050-DE prevented a YK-Class Vacuum Decay that originated deep beneath the ocean floor.
At this point, a little fun fact. SCP-050-DE's file contains three little lies. First, we were never presented with a proposal to use the aircraft as a weapon, that was our own idea. Second, the Eisler spacetime stabilizer didn't just happen to work on SCP-050-DE, it was developed specifically for it. Third, we didn't try normal ammunition first, we immediately went back to SCP-050-DE-1.
Before questions arise, yes, we knew all along what SCP-050-DE would do. So why did we go through with it anyway? Because we had to. If we hadn't built SCP-050-DE and sent it through time, the world, maybe even the entire universe, would have been destroyed several times over. The K-Class events it prevented would have just happened instead. As another problem, there is the grandfather paradox. As Xyank explained to us, if we had not built SCP-050-DE, the whole flow of time would have been messed up. Because how else would we have known about it in the sixties, when we never sent it back in time?
So you see, SCP-050-DE exists primarily to create a stable time loop. And even if hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people have lost their lives because of it, it is a comparatively small price we have paid for our perpetual existence.
Now, you probably think that the damage is already done and we can put our feet up regarding K-Class scenarios. That's wrong, because consider this: We cannot reproduce SCP-050-DE-1 so far. That leaves SCP-050-DE with only two, maybe three shots left, and we also don't know what it's doing right now. So it can only prevent a maximum of three K-Class events. Also, keep in mind that the number of scenarios the aircraft can detect is severely limited. And last but not least, always think about what will happen if we actually need to be rescued by it.
Sincerely yours: O5-1
