Special Containment Procedures: SCP-134-IT has been provisionally contained in the storage container 11 for religious objects at Site Vesta. Testing on the anomaly is waiting for approval.

Description: SCP-134-IT is a copy of The Holy Bible, Garofalo edition, dated 1977. Due to the inability to reproduce the anomalous properties witnessed in the incident that caused its discovery, the Foundation is currently unaware of the anomaly's true abilities. According to the interviews conducted with the only survivor of the incident, the item would have produced beams of light, consuming certain parts of the pages and hitting one of the involved parties.

Discovery: SCP-134-IT has been recovered from the main church of █████████ (BN), Campania, following an incident involving Priest Gino Castellano, 64 years old, and the church helper Antonio Cadonte, 12 years old. According to the interviews, Cadonte would have accidentally opened the anomaly during a fight between him and the priest - it would have them been activated, shooting Castellano first at the heart, then at the forehead, killing him¹. No further information was obtained due to the young man’s excessively high-stress levels, who was provisionally taken to the infirmary of the nearest Surveillance Area, pending his stable condition; a cover story was provided to the boy's family and the local police, as well as dosing with A-Class amnestics everyone who interacted with Cadonte before the arrival of Foundation agents.

It is remarkable that SCP-134-IT's effects had consumed some specific passages of the Bible, in particular: the passage Galatians 5:16², Matthew 18:10³ and Matthew 18:6⁴.
