SCP-207-DE in its containment cell
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-207-DE is contained at Site-DE21's sector 3 inside a large, sterile containment chamber measuring 1 x 1 x 1.9 m. A 1.3 m high table is placed therein, to ensure easy access to the anomaly during testing. The chamber is accessible through a sterilization airlock. Interactions of any kind with SCP-207-DE are solely to be performed in PAPBPC-suits. In order to protect the anomaly from dehydration, it is to be moistened with water which has been hallowed by a priest three times a day in a eight hour interval. It is permitted to use regular water for this purpose, as SCP-207-DE could be damaged in the process. One a week, SCP-207-DE is to be inspected for tissue damages and diseases by an intern cardiologist. In case of any damages taking place, immediate treatments and hygienic procedures are to be performed by standard protocol, as per Art. 21 preservation of anomalous objects regarding holy life forms and/or artifacts. If access to the object is demanded, only one person may observe it at any time. When transferred, it is transported inside a sterile box, supporting its levitation.
Description: SCP-207-DE designates a seemingly human-like red-brown heart. However, what is noticeable about its anatomy is that all atrial accesses and exits respectively into SCP-207-DE, such as the Aorta, Vena cava superior, Vena cava inferior (Upper and lower vena cava) and Truncus pulmonalis (Lunge artery) are missing, with the Aorta having been replaced by a structural third heart chamber. On the lateral rear end of said chamber, a single large vein is situated, apparently functioning as artery and vein. Said vein has been adopted into the manuel for anatomy and physiology (Heavenly anomalies and life forms) under the name Arvena thoracicae distalis sanctus by anatomists of the foundation. A U-shaped trunk is located inside the third chamber which shows no capillary connections. It is assumed that this trunk shall serve as fixing for SCP-207-DE onto SCP-297-DE's rib cage, the object's owner.
According to examinations, the third chamber functions as a collection point for as of yet unknown blood cells. These stick to the chamber walls and show a pyramidal structure. Tests involving human blood concluded that these blood cells, hereafter referred to as pyramithrozyt, react to the presence of erythrocytes (red blood cells), whereafter they become active. When active, they move to the erythrocytes and bind themselves onto the hemoglobin. Attempts to analyze pyramithrozyts, as well as determining their chemical composition, showed that they are a cellular structure consisting of unknown components. When a connection is established, the hemoglobin turns into a golden color. If there are not enough pyramithrozyts available for the given mass of erythrocytes, they will divide for so long until enough are present to meet its needs. As soon as all cells have established a connection, the golden discoloration of the present blood plasma can be observed with the naked eye. While it is unknown which exact purpose the pyramithrozyts serve, it is believed that it is to serve as a type of oxygen replacement. This suggests that heavenly life forms, or a type of them, possess no lung, and this shall serve as a respiratory system. How a pyramithrozyt is produced, though, is still unknown.
Despite the seemingly decease of SCP-207-DE-1, it beats with a frequency from up to 139 bpm in a supposed idle state. However, the heart frequency varies greatly depending on the situation. Situations have been observed on specific days in a month or year which either drastically decrease or increase the heart frequency. The most prominent situations often take place on holidays, such as Valentine's Day, Easter, or Christmas. Inside of SCP-207-DE, however, no fluid can be found, wherefore mostly air streams in and out of the Arvena thoracicae distalis sanctus.
The object possesses the anomalous property that it levitates approx. 20 cm above the earth's surface on its current location at any time and under all circumstances. Furthermore, it features a memetic effect which occurs once two persons, regardless of gender, are observed simultaneously. If that is the case, the heart frequency of SCP-207-DE will drastically increase, as in a "situation". Both individuals it observes in this moment will form a bond with each other. Since this moment, both individuals are re-classified as SCP-207-DE-A. According to several reports, both individuals fall in love with each other after approximately one minute of observation. Tests if this is also the case for more than two persons proved that this effect also occurs when the aforementioned limit of persons is exceeded. But then, from a number of four, it is random which subjects fall in love with each other. Observations suggest that these bonds last until one subject's death and beyond, necessitating the assumption that the bond caused by SCP-207-DE is considered absolute. Studies on effected subjects concluded that an almost identical growth has formed on both subject's hearts. The sole difference of this growth is that it forms on the ventriculus sinister (left heart chamber) in one subject and on the ventriculus dexter (right heart chamber) in the other subject. According to examinations, this outgrowth will not cause any health restrictions in affected persons. However, the two subjects now bonded will share any and all senses with each other. If one suffers a wound, the other will be able to feel pain on the exact same spot. According to testimonials from the subjects, this also applies for simulations.
In case of damages to SCP-207-DE, all other instances of SCP-207-DE-A are also injured. While they do not suffer severe body damage, it could be determined that the mutation located on their hearts becomes smaller. The consequence of this event is the increasing separation of SCP-207-DE-A's bond. Should the mutation caused through injuring SCP-207-DE vanish wholly, the bond of SCP-207-DE-A gets completely dissolved, and previously bond instances will go separate ways. Attempts to rebuild the bond to protect individuals from the psychological repercussions failed. Subjects can suffer from the following psychological issues after a divorce, with the duration varying highly between subjects:
- Depression, psychosomatic issues, eating disorders, drowsiness, elevated aggression, hostility, weariness of life, self-injurious behavior, suicidality, social self-isolation, andro- or gnophobia (rare) and stress-cardiomyopathy.
Genetic analyses of SCP-207-DE's tissue lead to the theory that SCP-207-DE-1 most probably designates a godlike or extradimensional entity. While several parts of SCP-207-DE's DNA match that of a normal human, there are also clear differences and connections of unknown origin. Approved tests conclude that the utilization of pyramithrozyts in a living organism leads to a conversion of the blood inside the subject. Firstly, the blood turned from a red to an orange tint, notable color changes were also observed inside on the skin, the eyes, and the lips. Due to the fact that the erythrocytes could no longer transport oxygen due of the pyramithrocyte bound to them, the test subject died of hypoxia. However, no necrosis and Rigor Mortis could be measured inside the subject even years after its death. Via examinations, it was found that organic cells can be preserved and kept alive through pyramithrozyts.
Discovery: Following a tangible appearance of SCP-207-DE-1 during an ongoing worship inside the locale church of ██████, Swizz, SCP-207-DE- was observed the first time. After SCP-207-DE-1 materialized itself, it fell to the floor, reaching into its chest with its hand. Witnesses who stayed at the location and did not flee state that an arrow pierced the chest of SCP-207-DE-1 sagittally, in the same manner as bows. After its hand had reached the arrow, it tore it out, subsequently ramming its hand into its chest, whereafter it ripped its heart out. Afterwards, SCP-207-DE-1 also dematerialized again, with SCP-207-DE still being in presence. At this point, the anomalous effect of SCP-207-DE first became apparent, and a coincidentally present agent contacted the foundation as soon as possible. Upon the arrival of a mobilized MTF-unit, SCP-207-DE could successfully be contained and transported to Site-DE21. Despite the arrow sagittaly situated inside SCP-207-DE, the latter regenerated completely during transport to Site-DE21. Amnestics were administered to all present and fled persons, and the incident was covered up through a disinformation-campaign.

Test series 207/DE
Test series proposed by: O4-4
Proposal accepted by: O4-1, O4-2, O4-5, O4-8, O4-10, O4-11, O4-12 and O4-13
Status: Cancelled (successful)
<Protocol start>
Test series 207/DE consists of the attempted reincarnation of SCP-207-DE-1. Researchers are certain the substitution of a human subject's heart with SCP-207-DE will cause a manifestation of SCP-207-DE-1 with the subsequent death of the subject as sacrifice. As SCP-207-DE will be implemented inside the subject's body, the bond of pyramithrozyts on the erythrocytes will, theoretically, not lead to hypoxia, what could lead to the death of the subject. This attempt aims to forcefully reincarnate SCP-207-DE-1, and possibly contain and/or interrogate it.
The first attempt was led by Dr. scp. med. ███████, performing a heart transplantation to Hermann ██████, D-Class personal. The surgery lasted nine hours and posed massive operative issues. Due to the object's levitation, it was difficult to transplant it inside the subject, yet, the surgery could successfully be completed. After the anesthesia of the subject dissipated, it immediately awakened, erectly levitating above the nursing bed. After a few seconds, it went back to the ground, and ripped its heart out of its chest, leading to the subject's death.
Any further attempts proceeded in a similar scheme, until contact with SCP-207-DE-1 was established during one surgery. There, it constantly repeated the phrase "Why?", before once again ripping its heart out of its thorax before the operation was terminated. Following this attempt, the series was ceased, and new methods of establishing contact with SCP-207-DE-1 are being researched.
However, it could be proved that it is possible to forcefully reincarnate SCP-207-DE-1, necessitating the test series' "success".
