A large fish tank is located in SCP-2636-JP’s main spot. As with the other tanks, the bottom is missing, and all its contents are lost, as shown in the picture.

Item #: SCP-2636-JP

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The area around SCP-2636-JP has been locked down, and the public will be stoppedrestrictedlimited from entering, with land development as cover. The interior of the facility is remotely monitored, and entry by personnel is discouraged, unless deemed necessary by the security supervisor. At the current time, exploration plans into the space beneath the tank have been suspended.

Currently, all personnel in charge are required to have routine mental health screenings. Please note that, based on the results of the screenings, the personnel in question may be transferred from their position, and may be put under supervisionunder arrestunder surveillance for a set period of time.

Description: SCP-2636-JP is an aquarium located in ███████, believed to be involved in the disappearance of over ███ workers and visitors of the aquarium on an unknown specific time during the month of ██, year ████. One of the most notable abnormalities of this facility is that the bottom of all the tanks have gone missingare gonehave disappeared for unknown reasons.

This disappearance has created an atrium-like structure possessing extremely smooth cut surfaces at the bottom and the lower side of the ceiling of each water tank. Additionally, in the case of the tank on the lowest floor, there appears to be an unusually deep pit that leads underground. However, in all attempts of exploring the interior of the pits have led to the disappearancelossvanishing of personnel and assets, with no further investigations planned. (For records of each survey, see separate appendixkey documents request)

Observers who have stayedbroken intoremained at SCP-2636-JP have reported extremely rare cases of knocking sounds of unknown origin coming from the bottom of the tanks and the appearance of unintelligible messages made of dust on the surface of the water. Despite this, none of the cases have had reported contents that match the phenomena and materials found at the facility, and their authenticitycertaintyveracity has not been proven. The following are selected case reports.

Dolphin exhibit tank. On the image of the glass surface of the empty tank, child-like handprints can be seen.

Document████████

Report: Simple face doodles appear on the inside of the tank.

Note: The doodles were reported to have been drawn over the dust with fingers, but as with the others, it couldn’t be verified. Furthermore, for unknown reasons, the discoverer was unable to identify the expression the face was meant to convey.

void_aquarium_3.jpg

Coral reef exhibit tank. An atrium-like structure was added to the ceiling, and, as seen in the image, allows light to enter during the daytime.

Document████████

Report: Repeated knocking noises heard from within the tanks.

Note: The knocking sound was reported to come from the bottom of the tanks, but no source was found in the atrium-like area on the bottom floor, which is directly below the tanks. Furthermore, it was reported that the knocking wasn’t singular, but rather many simultaneous knocks.

void_aquarium_4.jpg

Main tank (Lower floor section). Despite the size of the display, the contents of the tank’s inside are yet to be discovered.

Document████████

Report: Sudden agoraphobia manifestation, or false dream sensation.

Note: At the time, the reporter showed symptoms of a sudden panic attack due to feelings of dread of unknown origin kickstarted by the voided tank.missing tank bottom. Once the symptoms subsided, the reporter described a distinct avoidancerevulsiondiscomfort to the further activity on the bottom floor.

void_aquarium_5.jpg

Main pool stands. As with the other exhibit tanks, the bottom is missing, and the scaffolding used for the show has disappeared.

Document████████

Report: Loss of sense of realitySense of Déjà vu[?]

Note: Although the reporter reports symptoms of vertigo and confusion, further details could not be obtained due to the disappearance of the reporter shortly after. It must be noted that, the reporter, Dr. Evans, had entered the premises without permission from the security officer in charge.

DiscoveryHistoryAddendum: The abnormalityunusual circumstances surrounding SCP-2636-JP were first reported by the Foundation on████/██/██. It should be notedconsidered that, at the time the Foundation blocked off the facility, no traces of biological life, including humans, were discovered within the facility, despite the fact that it had been operating for at least █ days.

Furthermore, investigations show that a majority of the people believedshown to have visited the facility between ██ and ██ of the same month had gone missing. On the other hand, the local authorities, which should have received the first reports on SCP-2636-JP, and the families of the missing people could not accurately pinpoint when the disappearances and the abnormalities on the facility occurred, complaining of memory issuesdiscrepanciesconfusion.

Presently, no discoveries have been made regarding the history of the facility itself or any other objects that could have resulted in SCP-2636-JP’s current status.

AddendumSupplementCase: On ████/██/██, Dr. Evans, one of the people in charge at the time, reported that he had experienced an strange dream the day before in which he understooddiscovereduncoveredwitnessedimportantsignificantconcealedfactsmattersinformation related to SCP-2636-JP. However, when questioned by the interviewer, they were unable to provide details on the dream they claimed to have experienced. The staff in question expressed extreme frustration, with simple forgetfulness ruled out as the reason.

Since then, █ staff members associated with SCP-2636-JP have reported dreams similar to the one above, with details similarly going unexplained. In addition, it must be mentioned that the Foundation employees reporting this all disappeared days before the report was made. No further investigation into these phenomena have been able to discern the cause of the disappearances.

AnnexSomething[?]: The following audio was recorded during an exploration attempt into the inside of the hole. As with previous tests, the exploration was done by attaching a harness connected to a wire to the explorer, and gradually lowering them into the hole.

Researcher Reese: Explorer, please respond. Do you see anything inside the hole?

D-812636: It’s useless, doc. Even with the lights, I can’t see anything. I have a very bad feeling about this.

Dr. Evans: Poor Foundation staff, you’ll be joining our ranks.

Researcher Reese: Explorer, That feeling, could you explain it?

D-812636: Can’t explain it very well; I just feel uneasy. For some reason, I suddenly don’t know where I am, and it’s scary. It’s like being all alone, floating in the middle of the ocean.

Dr. Evans: If you can hear our voice, plead so you are pulled up.

D-812636: Doctor? What did you say? I couldn’t quite hear you.

Dr. Evans: But be careful. Do not respond to our voice. Do not react. Ignore it all.

Researcher Reese: Explorer, I didn’t say anything. If you heard something, please report it. If it is auditory hallucination, then it will not matter.

D-812636: Ah, I see, must have been nothing. Maybe I just imagined it. It must be the fear and anxiety making me panic. You think you can pull me up now?

Dr. Evans: Pretend you haven’t noticed.

Researcher Reese: Explorer, we will be the ones to determine when to terminate your exploration.Besides, you are the one who consented to all of this. All for your freedom, and to compensate your family.

D-812636: I know that, but this feels like a nightmare.

Dr. Evans: Think of this as no more than a dream.

D-812636: Wait a minute.

Dr. Evans: Do not try to remember, even after waking up.

Researcher Reese: Explorer, is something wrong? Please report.

D-812636: I see something. It’s water. And, are thosefish? There’s so many of them. If you look closely, you see a lot of people too. Oh, wait, why are some of them wearing white clothes like you, doc?

Dr. Evans: Ah. What a pity.

D-812636: What’s going on? Why is there an aquarium at the bottom of the floor?

Researcher Reese: Explorer, please repeat that. We cannot hear your voice.

D-812636: Doc, please. Just be honest with me. What the hell was so pitiful about it?

Researcher Reese: Explorer?

Dr. Evans: He cannot go back.

[I cannot remember when I saw this]

・・・

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: I see. You had a dream too?

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: No, it’s not my time. That dream was a recollection of a report on reality.

Doctor: It’s probably because I could not remember every single word that was said.

Doctor: Barring a couple blurs and removals, the content was exactly that of reality.

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: That’s right. In the report of the contents of my dream, I saw something clearly different.

Doctor: Inside the water tank, there was water, and fishes swimming in it. Furthermore, there was a figure looking at it all.

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: There is no proof of it. But, if they indeed disappeared, then where did they all go?

Doctor: Are we somehow not aware of all the different layer scenes they fell into by dreaming?

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: No, I did not report what I’ve said to the ones above.

Doctor: Would it be more accurate to say that I did not remember the contents of my dream at that time?

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: Unfortunately, it appears I won’t have the time to report this.

Doctor: It happened just a bit ago. When I woke up, I found myself standing right in front of the main pool of the aquarium.

Doctor: Maybe I got too close to their layer when I tried to remember the scene that I’d seen in my dreams?

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: You haven’t gone too deep yet. Reveal my name, and get amnestic treatment. You might just make it.

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: I’m so sorry. This is all I can do.

Me: [???][Can’t remember][Can’t recall][Don’t know]

Doctor: In your next dream, if you see and hear someone who wasn’t there; if you perceive a being that shouldn’t have been there.

Doctor: Pretend you haven’t noticed a thing. It’s nothing but a meaningless dream.
