Special Containment Procedures: SCP-308-DE is to be kept within containment cell 97 at Site-DE6. The cell, measuring 30 x 30 x 30 meter, must be heated to a temperature of 50 °C and the distance of the cell to the next cell or pipe transporting liquid must be 2 meter. A Scranton reality anchor has to be present in the environment of SCP-308-DE at any time to suppress possible reality-jumping abilities. Physical contact with SCP-308-DE is strictly prohibited due to health risks. Every subject that comes into physical contact with SCP-308-DE has to go to the nearest ward for medical treatments. All tests involving SCP-308-DE are to be approved and supervised by Dr. Orth.
Description: SCP-308-DE is a 1.73 meter tall man of Central European origin. The inscription "Mr. Thirst, from the Little Misters ® by Dr. Wondertainment" has been tattooed on the underside of the left arm. The body of SCP-308-DE shows signs of dehydration and a severe loss of muscle mass. This causes SCP-308-DE great pain and psychological distress. SCP-308-DE will instinctively attempt to establish physical contact to other organisms or close water sources. Attempts to establish verbal contact with SCP-308-DE have failed due to its mental and physical condition.
SCP-308-DE is capable of absorbing every moisture from its environment within a 10 meter radius and reduce it to up to 5 % humidity. The radius is reduced to one meter once the ambient temperature exceeds 40° C. SCP-308-DE also able to absorb moisture from separate rooms, even if they were hermetically sealed. Once SCP-308-DE comes into psychical contact with other living organisms, they begin to show signs of dehydration. This effect is treatable via water infusion within the first 10 minutes after exposure. If this process is not fulfilled, the subject will dehydrate in 72 hours and consequently perish from dehydration. During the process, SCP-308-DE displays regeneration of muscle mass and no symptoms of dehydration. After the treatment or perishing of the subject, SCP-308-DE will return to its former state.
Discovery: Following civil reports of parched landscapes, lakes and police reports of 16 corpses who died from dehydration, Foundation agents were dispatched to the Austrian village █████ to investigate the anomalous phenomenon. The agents managed to locate SCP-308-DE shortly thereafter, whereby Agent Mitzler came into physical contact with SCP-308-DE (see Addendum-1). SCP-308-DE was subsequently contained and transported to Site-DE6.
SCP-308-DE had several documents in its possession, including a draft document that provided information about the origin of SCP-308-DE.
