Special Containment Procedures: SCP-471-TH resides within a 6m x 6m Humanoid Containment Chamber at Site-20. It is furnished with a bed, a television set, and comes equipped with an en-suite bathroom. SCP-471-TH is to be treated like personnel, and it is permitted to leave the chamber from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Locations that SCP-471-TH can go to include the cafeteria, recreation rooms, and other areas where humanoid SCPs are permitted to enter.
Description: SCP-471-TH is a human male between the age of 30 and 35 with normal physical characteristics. However, SCP-471-TH and its surroundings within a 3 m radius are rendered in black and white. The cause of this phenomenon remains unknown after extensive analysis, and SCP-471-TH has been unable to explain it.
Individuals within the area of effect become devoid of colors, but they are able to perceive other colors outside the radius, except for SCP-471-TH. SCP-471-TH claims to have never seen any other colors in his life besides black and white due to being the source of the phenomenon. Subjects that exit the 3 m radius regain their original colors.
Samples extracted from SCP-471-TH (e.g. blood, hair, skin, nails) also exhibit a lack of color despite being removed from the area of effect. Clothing worn by the subject does not have the same result.
SCP-471-TH was discovered by the Foundation at ██████████ Hospital, which is located 20 km from the provincial town of ███████. Agent ██████ noticed the lack of color surrounding SCP-471-TH's car while driving on the same road as it towards the hospital. SCP-471-TH was employed at the facility as a night shift janitor, which allowed it to be rarely seen by others. Public records of SCP-471-TH are scarce with only a forged birth certificate, and lengthy medical logs recovered. Its residence prior to containment was located 4 km away from the hospital with nothing of note found.

Researcher ███: What is your name?
SCP-471-TH: It's Chief.
Researcher ███: Can you tell me how everything around you turns black and white, Chief?
SCP-471-TH: How? What do you mean?
Researcher ███: Your body and everything else around you should have color. It is not natural for it to suddenly turn black and white.
SCP-471-TH: I didn't know about that. I'm colorblind, so I can't tell what's color.
Researcher ███: So you don't know what's wrong with you?
SCP-471-TH: I guess so.
