Item #: SCP-999-KO
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Currently, there are no devised methods to contain SCP-999-KO. Establishing containment methods for SCP-999-KO is of top priority. MTF Unit Yota-7 ("You're it") tracks the subject.
Description: SCP-999-KO is a humanoid entity that disguises itself as a "containment research doctor". It operates in all facilities within the Foundation, presumed to include potential future Foundation facilities. It is impossible to distinguish the subject during its operation, and it disappears when the designated object is contained. SCP-999-KO resumes activity shortly after disappearance. The exact time points are unknown. Anomalous instances designated to SCP-999-KO were all successfully contained by SCP-999-KO unless disturbed. It is not possible to retrieve the list of objects contained by SCP-999-KO.
Its objectives are unknown, but it enters the Foundation through "legitimate methods", obtains a Level 4 security clearance, and contains instances. Interviews suggest the possibility that SCP-999-KO generates its own anomalous entities.
Addendum: Interview Log 999-KO-A
Interview Subject: Agent ██████
Interviewer: Dr C████████
Foreword: Agent ██████ temporarily contained by Dr ████████. He realised the doctor is SCP-999-KO during an experiment with SCP-███-KO.
<Start of Log>
Dr Dr C████████: No need for introductions. Take a seat.
Agent ██████: Okay.
Dr Dr C████████: (Brings out a piece of paper and prepares to write.) Right, let's start this interview. You are Agent ██████, right?
Agent ██████: Yes.
(Brief questioning of personal details follow.)
Dr Dr C████████: How did you find out the doctor is SCP-999-KO? I mean, why did you have your suspicions? No records are remaining, but we know he was very efficient. Moreover, you worked with him as his partner.
Agent ██████: (Closes his eyes deep in thought, before rubbing his face with his hands.) I don't know. It's that… Phew, excuse me.
Dr C████████: It's okay. Take your time.
Agent ██████: Right, we discovered an instance of SCP-███-KO. I was with Dr ████████. He was thrilled, as he fulfilled his life purpose. He jumped the couch as if he was born to contain SCP-███-KO. I started noticing something was off when the experiment started.
Dr C████████: You mean the experiment to contain SCP-███-KO.
Agent ██████: Yes, he was excellent. How could I put this? It was like he knew the SCP all along. Every experiment he did was "perfect", conducting the least amount of experiments while getting the most results. Of course one might say he's just a genius, but the point was his methodology.
Dr C████████: Methodology?Agent ██████: He drew conclusions from SCP instances we knew nothing about. We had no idea that- (Sighs, and catches his breath) That was when I realised we brought in a mundane object believing it was an SCP.
Dr C████████: Huh? What do you mean "mundane"?
Agent ██████: The more I think about it, the more we didn't know anything about its capabilities; why did we think it was an SCP instance and try to run tests on it? Also, the abilities that Dr ████████ proposed were becoming real as the experiment progressed. SCP-███-KO was gradually becoming an SCP instance.
Dr C████████: (Taps his pen on the table, slightly stirred)…
Agent ██████: It was like we were making an SCP instance of our own.Subject continuously blames himself.
Dr C████████: The interview is over. Thank you.
<End of Log>
Conclusion: Investigation on SCP-███-KO showed that its origins were unclear. Agent ██████ suffers from severe depression from the guilt. He is currently under protection as a key witness.
Addendum: O5-██'s opinion on SCP-999-KO
We don't know how he came to the Foundation. He might be researching in the Foundation at this very moment. He is completely unrelated to us O5s. We don't know why such hearsay is happening, but we do not know nor control SCP-999-KO. In contrast, he might be a tool from another organisation. We must be vigilant.
It is clear that SCP-999-KO is helping the Foundation, but it is an anomalous instance nonetheless. He is not a Foundation personnel nor a human. SCP-999-KO must be secured and contained. We must take any measures necessary to come about ways to secure and contain him. The subject is NOT a Foundation personnel.
