SCP-CN-010 on initial discovery.

Item #: SCP-CN-010

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-CN-010 is contained in a double-layered containment chamber, with the containment chamber itself being a cube 6 m on a side, and the inner layer being a sphere of radius 3 m. The object is to be fed once a day. No unauthorized objects are to be provided to the anomaly to use as SCP-CN-010-1.

Description: SCP-CN-010 is an aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis). Whenever the object perches on the wooden branch of an angiosperm (designated SCP-CN-010-1) in a confined space with area larger than 3 m x 3 m, the object will enter a "hibernating" state. When another primate (designated the "subject") enters this confined space, the space will undergo the following transformation: the subject will have no means to leave the space or attack SCP-CN-010, and no external objects may enter the room. At the same time, SCP-CN-010 will begin to repeatedly use its middle finger to strike SCP-CN-010-1; at this point, extremely loud impact noises will be audible from within the space, coming from the exterior. When SCP-CN-010 bites open SCP-CN-010-1, the space will be broken apart by a huge external force, and a large finger-like object will enter the space from the opening and pull the subject out (or pierce the subject and then pull it out) of the space. SCP-CN-010 will then pull the subject from the opening in SCP-CN-010-1 and [DATA EXPUNGED]. Following this, SCP-CN-010 will return to the "hibernating" state. During this period, the exterior of the space will show no visible change.
