SCP-ES-164-08.
Item #: SCP-ES-164
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Recovered SCP-ES-164 instances must be stored in individual standard containers on Site-34's Low Value Objects Wing, its access being restricted at the discretion of the Project Research Director.
In the face of a new instance's appearing, nearest Site personnel must take care of its recovery and the establishment of necessary recovering measures, communicating their finding to personnel participating in the project.
Due to the structural deterioration some instances show, caution is advised in its manipulation, being allowed, in cases were it's necessary, repairs using a sewing kit, as long as they don't imply modifications related to their original appearance and/or finding status.
Update: Due to Incident ES-164/10, a live video surveillance system has been established in the SCP-ES-164 storage sector. Aditionally, security personnel at the site must check the integrity of door locks and containers twice a day, as well as once the scheduled experimental procedures are finished.
Description: SCP-ES-164 corresponds to a stuffed animal collection which has been discovered in several parts of the world. The main anomalous property of these instances is the capacity of autonomous movement, allowing them to make actions which are not compatible with their design and construction materials.
These instances have been recovered from places where a large number of minors is found1, or according to subsequent investigations, had an important meaning to their old owners' lifes. Some of these instances present signs of wear and tear compatibles with having traveled several kilometers.
The consistency of the actions made by the instances in the moment they were found along with their capability of interacting with the environment suggests the have some kind of sentience or intelligence. Nevertheless, this has not been confirmed due to the instances' inability to communicate and the ceasing of anomalous activity that they have shown after their containment.

The notice from contact officers allowed the quick arrival from Foundation personnel and the capture of the instance, without additional incidents. Present witnesses were treated with B Class amnestics and a corresponding cover story was issued.

Addendum 2: ES-164/10 Incident
During a revision made in Site-34's Low Value Objects Wing at 21/10/2018, all stored SCP-ES-164 instances' vanishing was discovered, except SCP-ES-164-08. Even if both enclosures and individual containers locks were open, it wasn't possible to find manipulation or forcefull opening signs. Aditionally, surveillance cameras from the entrance didn't register the presence of external personnel to the Foundation, nor any other abnormal activity in the period of time the incident took place.
Under SCP-ES-164-08's instance a handwritten note written in Clairefontaine paper was discovered, with the sender "For Foundation", whose content has been transcribed below:
Dear Foundation gentlemen:
Lots of you must have a teddy bear or another animal plushie when you were children, soft dolls that gave you peace and relief when you slept, or you played and talked with when no one had time for you. Because, even if you were just kids, you knew that night was more than the abscence of light, and that things that it's better not to name hide in the shadows.
Even if these little guardians are efficient in its job, however, they are powerless against mundane horrors that can affect children, horror that deprive them from their sleep or even their lifes. These guardians are unable to comprehend that there are more frightening horrors than nightmares and night terrors, and that in lots of times they appear under the appearance of mundane things, as diseases, depravity, cruelty, mistreatment or just bad luck.
They felt failed and that they failed their only purpose in their existances, because of that, to remind their missing partners, they wanted to avoid other from happening the same thing to them.
I think that all of us, or most of us, must have a second chance. Their feeling are pure, and when their new partners grow up and stop fearing the night they'll have their purpose fulfilled.
That's why I request you to let them do their mission alone, you comprehend better than no one the horror that exists in the dark, and what things must be done for others to live in light.
Yours sincerely,
██████ █████████
P.S.: Take care of Bobo.
At this moment the search of ██████ █████████, PoI-9812 or information that helps find their whereabouts is ongoing.
