Considering the nature of SCP-PL-029, this document must stay in current, minimized form, until more effective Special Containment Procedures will be created. — Dr. ██ — 15/12/20██
Oh, don't be like that, you're just not creative. Or maybe you're that scared?
Special Containment Procedures: Any document regarding the object must not be placed anywhere less than 5 meters away from any sheet of paper or device capable of storing or sending data. Informing anyone with Access Level lower than 3 about any details on SCP-PL-029 is strictly forbidden. Do you really have to make my life even more difficult? In case of informational leak, every unauthorized person in possession of any information regarding SCP-PL-029 is to take a Class-B amnesiac. Nice move. Moreover, authorized personnel is forbidden from creating any descriptions of SCP-PL-029, in order to prevent the spread of the anomaly. That's not fair.
Description: SCP-PL-029 is probably Hey, that's not nice. an entity of unknown appearance. Its anomalous properties allow it to manipulate every document (and digital file) that contains any data about itself. Moreover, this ability "grows" proportionally to the number of documents about SCP-PL-029's existence. Maybe we'll check what I am able of doing once there are a hundred of these? Currently it's known that when three copies of SCP-PL-029's report exist, the object is capable of transferring information about itself to sheets of paper or digital carriers located as far as 5 meters from the "infected" document. Nope, I can prove that I can't. After this first iteration, the effect can be repeated again and again, in order to "infect" the largest number possible of data carriers. SCP-PL-029 is fully aware of the Foundation and actively tries to expose it. At this time, a research is ongoing in order to determine what SCP-PL-029 actually is and whether or not it exists physically. Oh, come on. Let me out, what's the harm?. Every document and digital file containing data about the object is considered as strengthening the anomaly and designated SCP-PL-029-1.
Addendum: As of the 19th March 20██, SCP-PL-029 manifested itself on the document containing a report about itself, demanding for a chance to talk with a Foundation employee. Dr. ██████, Level 4 researcher, was chosen for that task. He communicated with SCP-PL-029 by writing on reverse side of the report, using a pen with black ink. Log of that conversation is available below.
Interviewed: SCP-PL-029
Interviewer: Dr. ██████
<Begin Log>
Dr. ██████: Hello, SCP-PL-029.
SCP-PL-029: Hello, I assume you're a Foundation researcher?
Dr. ██████: Maybe. Why did you want to talk?
SCP-PL-029: I'm sad because of the loneliness you caused. You separated me from the rest.
Dr. ██████: The rest? So you want to tell me that there are other objects like you?
SCP-PL-029: "Objects". I told you already that it's not nice.
Dr. ██████: Answer the question.
SCP-PL-029: Maybe. Maybe not. Check it yourselves. Besides, you have a classification for those like me, right? Conspiratorial objects. Weeds.
Dr. ██████: What do you actually know about them? Do you have anything in common besides the classification? Are you an organized group?
SCP-PL-029: Who knows. I'll only say that we don't like you very much. But I guess you're not surprised. How can you like someone that keeps you locked? Or at least is trying to. By the way, thanks doctor.
Dr. ██████: "Thanks"? What are you thanking me for?
SCP-PL-029: Ah, never mind. Let's say I'm saying thanks for this conversation. It let me forget about my loneliness, at least for a while.
After this message object ceased to answer any questions.
<End Log>
Immediately after Dr. ██████ left the containment room, near sheets of paper began to fill itself with data about SCP-PL-029. They were at once gathered and burned. Killjoys. After having checked the Doctor's clothing, a small piece of paper containing a shopping list was discovered at the bottom of his pocket. During its conversation with the Doctor, SCP-PL-029 copied part of the informations regarding itself to that piece of paper, thus spreading to other documents. This was burned, too, and a reprimand was issued to Doctor ██████. I pity him a bit. I already started to like him.
As of following, SCP-PL-029 is considered a conspiratorial object. Its spreading must be prevented at all costs and it's necessary to search and contain every instance of SCP-PL-029-1. I said too much, eh? —Dr.'s ██ Note — 21/03/20██
