Number: SCP-173

Object Class: Euclid

Security Instructions: SCP-173 must be kept in a locked container at all times. When staff must enter SCP-173's container, at least 3 must enter, and the door must be locked behind them. Two people must look directly at SCP-173 until all staff have left and locked the container.

Description: Moved to Site-19 in 1993. We do not yet know where it came from. It is made from concrete and steel bars, as well as some Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 can move, and is very unfriendly. The object can't move if anything is looking at its eyes. Staff that enter the container need to tell another staff member if they are going to blink. We believe that the object attacks people by breaking their neck, or by strangling them. If an attack happens, staff must follow Class 4 hazardous object security instructions.

Staff have reported hearing sounds of stone being scraped from inside the container when nobody other than SCP-173 is inside it. We think this is normal, and if it changes, the current HMCL staff member will be notified.

The reddish-brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood. We do not know where these things come from. The container must be cleaned every two weeks.
